*For those concerned about authors and how subscription programs impact authors–thank you. In my experience, so far, the Kobo Plus program, has been quite fair to authors and their payments have not undercut royalties unlike other most subscription programs. As well, with Kobo Plus, authors do not have to be exclusive, meaning they can still sell their books and audiobooks on other retailers which is a much less risky business model for the artists–the authors who are depending on the royalties to pay their editors and cover designers.
