Maybe having a man with a sword in my remote bunker isn’t such a bad thing. (Even if he is my frenemy.)
And yet…why does it have to be the reluctantly forgivable Doug with his gentle, protective ways? And why does he have to laugh at the same bits in the ridiculous romantasy novels I’m devouring—they’re so horribly inaccurate. (But amusingly so.) And what am I supposed to do when he wants to recreate the ‘clutch’ covers with me during our downtime just to cheer me up? Or to test the physical logistics of some of the kissing scenes to see if they’re possible?
Maybe I can ask my fairy godmother to make him go away. Or stay. I haven’t quite decided yet…
A slow-burn, closed-door rom-com with dragons, sweet heroes, magical realism, and a friends-to-almost-lovers to enemies, and then back to friends-to-lovers after that rocky stop in the land of frenemies. (This book also has limb-differences representation in the hunky hero.)
